AO World

In 2000, John Roberts decided to establish an online-only retailer by the name Appliances Online. The name was rebranded to AO.com in 2013, and by 2014, it was already known as AO World; thanks to the different phases of success it was encountering.

Robert had developed the desire to change the way the purchasing of white goods was being done through the internet. And after successful accomplishment, he chose Bolton, Greater Manchester, as the head office for the business.

The internet was still a foreign language to many by the time AO World Plc was established. However, the willingness to make online purchasing more reliable and flexible was still there. The company offers a wide range of products under different links; ao-recycling.com, ao-business.com, ao-outlet.co.uk, ao-mobile.com, AO Smile Foundation, and ao-delivery.com.

At its very best, AO World Plc strives to things differently right from scratch. It is listed on the LSE even as it explores bigger markets.
