BAE Systems Plc was found in 1999 following a merger between the British Aerospace Plc (BAe) and Marconi Electronic Systems (MES). It is leading firm manufacturing aerospace, security, and defense equipment such as electronic defense equipment, security and communication tools, reinforced automobiles, naval equipment, civil and military aerospace tools, cybersecurity and intelligence systems and much more. Also, the firm offers a range of services in maintenance, trainings, and other related consultancy areas. Its headquarters are in London, UK and runs numerous operations worldwide. The firm’s major markets are the UK and USA but also serve other markets across the world.  

Since its inception, the company has made several acquisitions, but largely the United Defense, Armor Holdings in the US and has partnered with other firms including Airbus, AMS, Astrium and much more. Currently, the firm owns four major subsidiary companies; BAE Systems Inc., BAE Systems Australia, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence and BAE Systems Land & Armaments. The company is mainly listed on London Stock Exchange, a component of FTSE 100 Index.
