Bumi Plc is a coal producer company that was formed in 2011 by Nathaniel Rothschild after the renaming of Vallar Plc, which he had founded. Rothschild invested Bumi Resources Asia’s thermal coal biggest exporter owned by the Bakrie family and consequently owned 25% interest in it. Bumi Plc is a culmination of two subsidiaries Bumi Resources and Berau Coal Energy. In March 2014, Bumi Plc was renamed Asia Resource Minerals.

Bumi Plc’s headquarters is located in London, England and is a thermal coal company. It is basically a thermal coal group in Indonesia having an interest in coal assets. Its core business is to do an exploration of coal, mining it, and then engaging in the processing activity. It uses both methods of coal mining of surface and underground mining to expose giant coal beds and extract coal from underground in preparation for processing. Bumi Plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
