Daejan Holdings

Daejan Holdings Plc. is a property investment company incorporated in 1935, as Freshwater Group, with the aim of acquiring coffee and rubber plantations in Indonesia. In 1959 Freshwater Property entrenched itself in London with the acquisition of landmark buildings. Following a London listing, the company changed its name to Daejan Holdings Limited.

In the 1960s, the group bought over 3,000 houses and flats, consequently becoming the largest private property owner in London. In 1972, it acquired City and Country Properties, consequently absorbing properties worth £32.7 million. Further diversification resulted in the purchase of 19 modern supermarkets and commercial properties in 1996.

The company’s property portfolio includes commercial, industrial, and residential properties. Daejan Holdings Plc. also operates in two geographic segments of the U.K and the U.S. As of 2018, its total asset portfolio was valued at close to £2.4 billion.

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the company has its stock listed on the London Stock Exchange.
