The company was founded in the 1940s. It was a Fibre division of Bunzl before it was demerged in 2005. The company later adopted its current name; Essentra PLC, in 2013. According to the company’s CEO, Colin Day, the new name was incorporating key components necessary in meeting the customers’ needs.

The company has undergone massive transitions before settling its base in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK. It has also kept its network in 33 countries running alongside 50 manufacturing facilities and 66 points of sales and distribution running.

Essentra operates under three divisions; components, packaging, and filters. Every day, it produces tones of small but important components. It supports non-political and charities and organizations as a way of giving back to the community.

As a supplier of fiber and plastic products, the company may not have a big name, but its assured that it serves a big community. It is enlisted on the LSE market.
