Friends Life Group

The establishment of Friends Life Group Limited in 2008 aimed at completing merger with three UK life insurance operators. Clive Cowdery founded the company under the name Resolution Limited. In 2014, the name changed from Resolution Limited to Friends Life Group.

The following year, Friends Life Group was acquired by Aviva; a multinational insurance company located in London, United Kingdom.

Aviva was formed in 2000, and its original name was CGNU plc. until 2002 when it changed to the current name. It operates in 16 countries with a customer of about 33 million. Its markets are in Europe and Asia. It is also in Canada, where it is considered the second-largest general insurer.

Through the use of technology and expertise, Aviva helps its customers plan for the future. Thanks to the fact that it has an extensive range of insurance and savings products. Its listing is on the LSE market. Nonetheless, its focus is on achieving a competitive advantage in various markets.
