Infinis Energy

Infinis Energy started as a constituent of Waste Recycling Group’s portfolio but demerged in 2006 to become an independent company. The following year, the company obtained ISO compliance for environment management. This came alongside the rights to develop wind power and biomass projects from the Scottish Resources Group. Infinis began to massively acquire rivals to establish its dominance in the generation of landfill gas.

By 2013, Infinis was the largest producer of renewable energy from landfills and onshore wind. The company collaborates with off-takers who deliver the generated energy to customers. Infinis operates through four major business segments, namely: Landfill Gas Business, Onshore Wind Business, Hydro Business, and Wind Development Business. Infinis Plc changed its name to Infinis Energy after being acquired by Terra Firma Capital Partners. The United Kingdom is the primary market for Infinis, and its headquarters are in Northampton. The company runs over 150 sites that employ close to 300 people.
