International Airlines Group launched its operations in 2011. The organization results from a combination of assets and business operations between the British Airways, UK flag carrier, and Iberia, Spain’s national airline. Resultantly, International Airlines Group is the sixth-largest carrier in the world. British Airlines owns 55% of the group.

The company has its headquarters in Madrid and London, but the head office is in London. IAG operates in the Aviation Industry. The constituent companies of the International Airlines Group together with their subsidiaries, provide transportation for passengers and cargo in Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and across the Atlantic to the US. The constituent companies and the subsidiaries operate 573 aircraft. The airline plies to 268 destinations during which it ferries approximately 113 million passengers annually. In addition to British Airways and Iberia, American Airlines acts as the group’s American liaison. The company’s shares trade on Bolsa de Madrid and London Stock Exchange under IAG as its symbol.
