Intu Properties

This is a real estate investment trust founded in 1980 as Transatlantic Insurance Holdings Plc and later rebranded to Liberty International Plc in 1996. In May 2010, it renamed itself to Capital Shopping Centres Group after demerging the Capital and Counties Properties, a company it had merged with earlier in 1992. In February 2013, CSC rebranded once more to Intu Properties Plc, incorporating a bird symbol on its logo to mean “a symbol of joy.” The company’s headquarters are in London, United Kingdom, with its operations in the United Kingdom and Spain, where it owns eighteen shopping centers and three, respectively. Its shares are duo-listed on the London and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges.

Intu’s focus is on the development and management of shopping centers. The company does this by employing three methods of operation. It offers leasing services to clients, engages in commercialization of clients’ businesses, and lastly gives online support to maximize returns for all parties.
