In 1889, Stanley Boulter brought together prominent people, including Price Waterhouse’s Edwin Waterhouse, to form a joint venture. The ultimate aim of the venture was to facilitate the issuing of corporate debentures. The company later became a trustee of perpetual debenture stock that Merchants Trust issued the same year as Law Debenture’s founding. At the turn of the 21st century, the company acquired a number of strategic businesses, including Safecall Limited and Delaware Corporate Services Inc.

Primarily, Law Debenture Corporation offers its services in two segments. On the one hand, the company is investment trust. The company pools together fund that it invests in a range of assets provided they help to grow the capital. On the other hand, the company offers professional services to a wide range of clients. Some of the services include trustee and escrow banking, pension trusteeship, corporate administration, accounting, and company secretary, among many others. Law Debenture is a public company trading as LWDB on the LSE. Its headquarters are in London, the UK.
