Murray International Trust PLC

It was launched in 1907 as The Scottish Western Investment Company and was renamed in 1984. Its founders Brown, Fleming & Murray, came together to establish the company at a time when the economy was thriving due to industrial and shipbuilding business.

Murray International Trust (MYI) was incorporated in Glasgow. Its original portfolio of products was fixed income securities. These were offered to railroads and tramway companies in the US. However, it has been expanding to incorporate other products such as preference shares and depository receipts. Through its fund manager, Aberdeen Standard Investments, the trust is committed towards supporting the economy.

The fund manager focuses on areas of real income growth and low credit penetration. The company has also set up pillars of measuring its success because it is destined to take the investment market to another level. Meanwhile, it is listed on the LSE market.
