Randgold Resources

Randgold is a mining services company with headquarters in Jersey, Channel Islands. The company started operating in 1995 and later floated its shares on the London Stock Exchange in 1997 and a few years later on NASDAQ. The shares traded RRS on the LSE and as GOLD on NASDAQ. In January 2019, Randgold finalized its merger process with Barrick Gold. The new company adopted Barrick Gold as its official name, and, as such, Randgold ceased to exist. The company delisted from all exchanges in December 2018.

Before the merger, Randgold ran several mining projects, all of them located in Africa. The Morila Gold Mine in Mali is the largest, followed by the Loulo-Gounkoto mine complex, also located in Mali. Randgold has other substantial mining projects in the Ivory Coast and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since the merger and subsequent name-change, Barrick Gold is the second-largest gold producer in the world.
