Reckitt Benckiser is a multinational consumer goods company established in 1999 through a merger of Reckitt & Colman plc, and Benckiser NV. However, the company’s history dates back to 1823 when founding father Johan Benckiser founded a business specializing in industrial chemicals.

Headquartered in Slough England, the company manufactures, markets and sells an array of health, hygiene, and home products. It also offers acne treatments. Its notable brands include Dettol, Strepsills, Durex, Harpic, Calgon, Air Wick, and Veet.

The company has operations in over 60 countries while its products are sold in over 200 countries. Its core strategy focuses on 19 profitable brands around health hygiene and home products. The 19 profitable brands account for 70% of the company’s total revenues.

Reckitt Benckiser is only listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of FTSE 100 index.
