Synthomer PLC

The foundation of the company can be traced back to 1863. Its founder Andrew Yule established it as Andrew Yule & Co. in Calcutta. The company changed hands several times before it was rebranded to Synthomer PLC in 2012.

The British-based chemicals business is established in London, England. However, it has grown its global manufacturing network to serve Germany, Atlanta USA, Malaysia, Marl Kuala Lumpur, and the UK. The company supplies aqueous polymers, which are used in construction, making of synthetic latex gloves and coatings.

Synthomer PLC has put in a strategy to ensure it is meeting the needs of all the stakeholders and especially the customers. Being able to create and deliver successful products has given it a competitive advantage. Also, it works closely with other suppliers and manufactures to understand processes and products. It is listed on the LSE market and has the potential to widen its geographical reach.
