Unilever is conglomerate in the fast-moving consumer goods space. The company came into being in 1929 following the merger of Margarine Unie and soap maker Lever Brothers. The company has its headquarters in London, England as well as Rotterdam Netherlands, to cater to its vast business empire.

After starting as a maker of products made up of oils and fats, the company diversified its operations expanding into new segments in the process. Unilever Group operates under four main segments of Foods, Refreshment, Homecare, and Beauty & Personal Products.

The company owns over 400 brands that are currently on sale in over 190 countries. Some of its flagship products include Dove, Omo Hertbrand ice creams as well as Sunsilk Lux and Magnum. Unilever stock is currently listed on the London Stock Exchange as well as in Amsterdam Euronext.
