United Utilities Group plc is the multinational water company based in the UK. The firm was established in 1995 following a merger between North West Water and NORWEB. The headquarters for the firm is located in Werrington, England. The company specializes in management and distribution of water and sewerage services across the entire region of North West, England. Furthermore, the firm owns various operations in other regions of the UK, including Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, and much more. Currently, it serves over 7 million consumers providing two main products, clean drinking water, and recycled wastewater.

United Utilities is presently traded on the London Stock Exchange with a component of the FTSE 100 Index. The company tried to acquire and merge with a number of brands including the distribution network of North West Electricity. In 2007, the company worked for NorthWest Electricity until in 2010 when the firm opted to merge to form a Group.
