Wolfson Microelectronics

Jim Reid and David Milne instituted the company. In 1984, the duo opened the doors of the Scottish corporation, which was dealing with signal processing and mixed-signal chips. Within a year of being in business, the company began expanding its operations to different regions before settling its corporate office in the UK.

In 2014, it was bought by Cirrus Logic, an entity found by Dr. Suhas Patil in 1981, and it is based in Austin, Texas. It specializes in signal processing applications offering high performance but in low-power ICs for audio and voice.

The company’s innovative products include wearables, smartphones, digital headsets, headsets, and other emerging applications. Its culture internationally recognized, and it recognizes the need to have its consumers connected.

Every day, the Cirrus Logic strives to bridge the gap between the analog and the digital world. For the last three decades, it has built a success story in the electronics industry and is also listed on the LSE market.
