WS Atkins

In 1938, the late Sir William Atkins established the company the name, WS Atkins & Partners. Its original specialization was in civil and structural engineering design work before expanding to other architectural activities.

The company has its corporate offices in the UK and regional offices in various regions; Hong Kong, Middle East, North America, and the Asia Pacific. However, in 2017, it was acquired by SNC-Lavalin. The Canadian based company offers services in different industries such as oil and gas, infrastructure, mining, and metallurgy, among others.

SNC-Lavalin’s operations are driven by the need to offer solutions to complex challenges in the world today. Some of the challenges are in the areas of transportation, population growth, and climate change. The company has the know-how and the expertise to predict projects likely to yield expected results.

Meanwhile, it continues to strategize on how to advance its activities in a way that can benefit society, global, and local economies. SNC-Lavalin is listed on the TSX market.
