Zoopla Property Group

Founded in 2007, Zoopla Property Group operates property websites that strive to provide information on house prices, trends, and statistics as well as domestic properties around the U.K. The company owns directories for searching properties in the U.K. using various sources such as the Royal Mail’s postcode database and Google maps.

The property listing company has also developed an automated valuation model that allows users to compute valuation estimates for properties in the U.K. The company has grown to become a juggernaut in property listing through acquisitions.

In 2009, Zoopla Property Group acquired Thinkproperty.com, followed by the acquisition of PropertyFinders Group made up of Propertyfinders.com, Hotproperty.co.uk, and U.K Property shop. In 2013, it acquired information website Globrix.com followed by the acquisition of price comparison website uSwitch in 2015

Zoopla Property Group biggest acquisition to date is comparison website Money.co.uk that it acquired for £140 million in 2017.

The company went public in 2014, resulting in the listing of the stock on the London Stock Exchange.
