The Madrid Stock Exchange came into being in 1831 after the Parliament passed a law to establish the institution. Also called Bolsa de Madrid, the exchange is the largest of its kind in Spain and has its headquarters in Madrid. Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) owns and operates the exchange. BME developed the SIBE electronic trading platform on which the stock exchange runs its operations. The exchange offers stocks, ETFs, certificates, and other derivatives. The exchange maintains the IBEX 35 that tracks 35 best companies trading on Bolsa de Madrid.
Invezz compiles market data, the financial reports for individual companies listed on the exchange, and watches the movement of the IBEX 35. We offer this information to our visitors to help them make better investment decisions.
