CVS Health Corporation is a healthcare company founded in 1963 by brothers Stanley Goldstein and Sidney Goldstein in partnership with Ralph Hoagland. It is the parent company for CVS Pharmacy that operates a retail pharmacy chain that dispenses a wide array of pharmaceutical products.

The company’s Pharmacy Services unit offers pharmacy, benefit management solutions while the Retail segment is engaged in the sale and distribution of prescription drugs and general merchandise. CVS Health Corporation also owns Aetna, a company that specializes in offering health insurance products.

Headquartered in Woonsocket Rhode Island, the company renamed CVS Health in 2014 after doing away with the business of selling tobacco products. The company boasts of one of the biggest pharmaceutical chains made up of 40-leased on-site pharmacies and more than 20-leased pharmacies. It also has over 9,000 retail locations and over 1,000 MinuteClinic locations.

CVS Health Corporation has its stock listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
