Assisted areas (UK)
Certain areas of the U.K. are designed as assisted areas. They are further divided into ‘development areas’ and ‘intermediate areas’. The designation is made by the Department of Trade and Industry and, so far as the exact gegographical locations might vary, individual firms should inquire at regional offices of the Department to acertain whether or not they qualify for the assitance available in these areas.
