A government department, administratively part of the Department of Trade and IndusJry (but responsible to the Central Statistical Office for policy), established in 1969. The B.S.O. has become the focal point for the collection and publication of industrial statistics. The B.S,O. is responsible for the Census of Production, Business Monitor, and the Census of Distribution.
