National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR)

An independent UK body carrying out research into both macroeconomic and microeconomic aspects of the economy. The NIESR was founded in 1938 and currently has 26 research staff. A significant part of its activities is the production of quarterly economic forecasts.
