The institute Office Management, Institute of. The institute I was established over sixty years ago, to cater senior office responsibilities. Members may be Fellows (F.O.I.M.), Ordinary Members (M.I.O.M.) or Associates (A.I.O.M.). An ordinary member must be over twenty-seven and either have a Diploma awarded by the Institute, be responsible for at least a large section of his company’s office, be a specialist in office management or teach the specialist in office management or teach the twenty-three, be engaged in responsible work in office management or hold the Institute’s Certificate. Fellows must have been ordinary members for five years and occupy senior positions in general or office management, or have rendered outstanding service to the Institute. Companies can become patrons.
