The Nasdaq Stockholm is a leading stock exchange in Stockholm, Sweden established in 1863. Currently, it lists more than 300 trading companies. In 2003, the exchange was transformed to the current OMX following a merger between OM and Helsinki Stock Exchange. It also partners with other exchanges; Copenhagen and Iceland. In 2007, OMX was acquired by Nasdaq, giving it an avenue to expand internationally.
