Kinross Gold Corporation on kanadalainen kullankaivosyhtiö, jonka toiminta keskittyy Amerikkaan ja Länsi-Afrikkaan. Kinross muokkasi maantieteellistä jalanjälkeään vetäydyttyään Venäjältä vuonna 2022 Ukrainan-invaasion jälkeen; päätös poisti matalakustanteista tuotantoa mutta vähensi geopoliittista altistusta. Sen nykyinen strategia keskittyy kypsien kaivosten hallintaan, varantojen käyttöiän pidentämiseen ja sellaisten hankkeiden kehittämiseen, jotka voivat ajan myötä korvata laskevaa tuotantoa.
Keskeinen kasvuomaisuus on Ontariossa sijaitseva Great Bear -hanke, joka hankittiin vuonna 2022. Esiintymää pidetään yhtenä Kinrossin tärkeimmistä kehityshankkeista sen vuoksi, että se sijaitsee vakiintuneella kanadalaisella kaivosalueella ja sillä on potentiaalia kehittyä merkittäväksi pitkäikäiseksi tuotannon lähteeksi, jos se etenee tuotantoon asti. Hankkeen odotetaan auttavan tasapainottamaan yhtiön nykyisen kaivosportfolion luonnollista ehtymistä.
Kinross on historiallisesti käyttänyt yritysostoja, malminetsintää ja kaivoslaajennuksia tuotannon ylläpitämiseen. Yhtiön taloudellinen suorituskyky on tiiviisti sidoksissa kullan hintaan, operatiivisiin kustannuksiin, pääomamenoihin ja varantojen korvaamiseen. Keskisuuresta suureen kultatuottajaan lukeutuva yhtiö kiinnostaa sijoittajia, jotka hakevat vivutettua altistusta jalometalleihin, mutta se edellyttää myös huomiota kaivostoiminnan toteutukseen, maakohtaiseen riskiin, energiakustannuksiin ja hankekehityksen aikatauluihin.
