XPLR Infrastructure, LP on infrastruktuuriomistaja, jonka toiminta rakentuu Pohjois-Amerikan sopimuspohjaisten energiaomaisuuserien ympärille. Tuuli- ja aurinkohankkeet myyvät sähköä sähköyhtiöille, yritysasiakkaille tai muille vastapuolille, usein sähkönostosopimusten tai vastaavien sopimusten kautta. Akkuvarastoinnilla on erilainen rooli: se auttaa siirtämään sähköä päivän eri ajankohtiin, tukee verkon tasapainottamista ja parantaa uusiutuvan sähköntuotannon arvoa markkinoilla, joilla tarjonta ja kysyntä vaihtelevat.
XPLR Infrastructure omistaa myös sopimuspohjaisia maakaasuputkiomaisuuseriä Texasissa. Nämä omaisuuserät laajentavat kumppanuuden toimintaa pelkkää uusiutuvaa sähköntuotantoa pidemmälle ja tuovat altistusta midstream-infrastruktuuriin, joka kuljettaa voimalaitosten, teollisuusasiakkaiden ja muiden energiankäyttäjien käyttämää polttoainetta. Uusiutuvien omaisuuserien ja kaasuinfrastruktuurin yhdistelmä erottaa kumppanuuden yhtiöistä, jotka keskittyvät yksinomaan sähköyhtiöihin, putkistoihin tai energiakehittäjiin.

Koska infrastruktuuriomaisuuserät ovat pääomavaltaisia, myös korot ja pääoman saatavuus ovat tärkeitä. XPLR Infrastructuren vetovoima perustuu sen toimivien energiaomaisuuserien salkkuun sekä sen rooliin Pohjois-Amerikan sähköinfrastruktuurin rakentamisen ja hallinnan rahoittamisessa.
