Myers Industries, Inc. is a US manufacturing and distribution company that supplies polymer, metal, and rubber-based products for industrial, agricultural, automotive, consumer, and material-handling uses. Its manufactured products include reusable plastic containers, pallets, bins, bulk shipping containers, storage and organization products, custom-molded components, fuel containers, and tanks used for handling water, fuel, and waste. The company’s products are often used in logistics networks, manufacturing plants, warehouses, farms, and retail environments where durability and repeat use are important.
The business is organized around two primary segments. The Material Handling segment is the larger revenue source and manufactures reusable plastic products designed to move, store, and protect goods over repeated service cycles. This includes containers and pallets used in supply chains as companies seek alternatives to single-use packaging or require standardized systems for automation and distribution. The segment also serves original equipment manufacturers through custom plastic components.
The Distribution segment supplies equipment, tools, and consumables used in tire service and automotive under-vehicle repair. This gives Myers exposure to the vehicle maintenance market through a channel that serves tire dealers, repair shops, and related service providers. While smaller than Material Handling, the distribution business broadens the company’s customer base beyond manufacturing customers and logistics operators.
Myers Industries is distinctive for combining proprietary molded-product manufacturing with a specialized distribution platform. Its performance is influenced by industrial production, freight and warehousing activity, automotive service demand, raw material costs, and customer capital spending. For investors, the company offers exposure to practical, non-discretionary products used across supply chains and maintenance markets, with its largest business tied to reusable material-handling systems and customized polymer solutions.
