iNVEZZ.com, Monday, July 15: Apple Inc, the world’s most valuable tech company, plans to “fully investigate” an incident which caused the death of a 23-year old woman in China last Thursday. Citing Internet reports, China’s Xinhua news agency reported on Friday, July 12, that Ma Ailun, a flight attendant with China Southern Airlines, had died using an iPhone while it had been charging. The US tech giant has pledged to fully cooperate with authorities in the investigation.

The Apple share price was down 0.19% at $425.71 in New York pre-market trading as of 13:42 GMT.
The news surfaced via a microblog service, with Ma’s sister tweeting about the tragic incident, urging users to be careful. Xinhua cited the post as saying that the family “didn’t ask for compensation from Apple, and that it only hopes people will pay attention, nothing more”.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident and offer our condolences to the Ma family,” Apple has said in an emailed statement to Bloomberg News. It didn’t comment on details of the media report.
