FTSE100 is marginally up at 6820.77

The FTSE 100 is marginally up at 6820.77, the Dax up 0.4% and the Cac 40 up 0.1%.

Shares in Balfour Beatty (in the list of the top UK 250 companies) have plummeted by more than 16% following a profit warning this morning, and the departure of the company’s chief executive. Barclays shares are also down – 3.5% – following a fall in profits.
Aberdeen Asset Management’s shares are the biggest loser on the FTSE 100 this morning, down 4.5%. Earlier, the company reported a 3% fall in profits over the past six months, after investors pulled billions out of some of its core funds.
