Spanish property market recovery helped by Marbella

The Spanish National Statistic Institute has released figures that has shown that the Costa Del Sol, and in particular Marbella is now leading the recovery in the property market, with a 28% increase in sales during 2014.

This increase in sales now means that sales of properties in Marbella are now 12% higher than they were during their peak in 2007. To further prove this, the Ministry of Development have released figures that show that Marbella has seen the fastest increase in sales when compared to other cities in the last 12 months.

These figures highlight the third year of growth for Marbella and Spanish property experts Hopwood House are encouraged by this as they now believe that the financial crisis is behind Spain.

The past three years have been extremely busy as the market has really picked up quickly in the way that many predicted it would. Marbella has a lot offer with a stunning coastline and the cosmopolitan feel to the town, it appeals to everyone. There is a true Spanish feel in the old town where lots of traditional Spanish architecture remains and it has boutiques and restaurants to further enhance it.

It is known to be the place to go for the rich and famous with actors and sport stars purchasing properties in the area but Marbella still remains fairly grounded as it is still a good place to go for those families with young children but also the older age groups.

Marbella has a lot to offer and it is one of the most highly sought after locations on the Spanish coastline as it is a desirable place to own a second home or retirement property thanks to its all year round sunshine, making it easily accessible throughout the year.

There is a strong demand from those who live outside of Spain. British buyers admire the resort but there are also many investors who come from France, Germany, Scandinavia and many other European countries. Marbella is perfection as it has everything that people need which is why it is now the preferred choice of many when it comes to owning a second home.

Marbella has more to offer just the beautiful location, amazing weather and unbelievable food because it also offers access to many of the attractions in the areas. It is a well-known golf resort, with villages such as Mijas and the Benahavis Mountains all easily accessible but if some want to take it easy then it has lots of sun, sand and glistening sea.

It really does have a lot to offer, which makes it perfectly understandable as to why it has increased in popularity at a rate that far exceeds any other region in Spain.
