The privacy-focused cryptocurrency Dash will have its own dedicated conference in just over a month, The Cointelegraph has reported.

The event will be held at The Oval Space in London on September 24 and is organised by Keynote, which is known for handling event, such as the North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami and the World Blockchain Forum.

The chief executive officer of Dash Core, Ryan Taylor, has said that the company will make some major announcements and important business partnerships at the conference. Taylor will be one of the keynote speakers.

The Dash community have seen a number of interesting developments over the past month or so. First, it was announced on July 20 that Apple had finally allowed Dash-based wallets to be hired a team of white hat hackers to perform a large-scale security check of the cryptocurrency’s blockchain.

In a more recent development, the Dash price experienced a surge on Saturday, which led to a new all-time high of nearly $330, according to data from Coinmarketcap. The surge appeared to coincide with a significant increase in trading volume. The price has since retreated to lower levels, but has remained near the $300 mark.

In today’s trading the Dash price stood at $293.42, as of 13:52 BST. According to Coinmarketcap, the cryptocoin has gained 4.3% over the past 24 hours and has a total market capitalisation of just over $2.2 billion.
