COTI Mainnet 2.0 launches in 5 days – here’s what to expect

COTI’s Mainnet 2.0 goes live on November 2, 2021 at 2 pm UTC, Invezz learned from a press release. Its Trustchain is the base infrastructure for its products and systems. Trustchain is based on a multi-DAG (directed acyclic graph) data structure, which is capable of processing over 100,000 TPS.

The base infrastructure went live on Mainnet in June 2019. Since then, it has processed millions of transactions globally.

New and improved scalability and speed capabilities

COTI has been working on Mainnet 2.0 for over a year to optimize COTI’s platforms to support its massive growth and allow new scalability and speed capabilities. It will enable database performance enhancements, faster transaction confirmations, and more.

Mainnet 2.0 includes storage engine, node queue management, and more

RocksDB, the node storage engine, is enhanced with new features in the upcoming release, such as faster loading time and backup capabilities. Next come the Queues, the node queue management for the software, improved with better locks. Events flow seamlessly and enable quicker transactions.

Explorer.coti.io improves stability by controlling the transaction response rate. COTI enhanced the external communications being used by STOMP and zero-mq from the interior of the node-enhanced queue operations. This enables a consistent message sending rate.

Support for out of the box scrapers to improve reliability  

The upcoming release will also support out-of-the-box standard metrics scrapers, enabling node owners to monitor the KPI and application health. To guarantee a reliable and seamless transition, COTI node operators have already moved to the new version on Testnet.

A solid commitment to further network growth

All in all, Mainnet 2.0 will enable further growth of COTI’s network, supporting a wide range of financial technologies and use cases for COTI users, enterprises, and merchants. These will include merchant and enterprise services, the stablecoin factory, the COTI Treasury, Treasury services, ecosystem, and partnerships, and Trustchain.
