Crypto prices on Mar 26: BTC climbs over $87K, Pi Coin top loser

The cryptocurrency market managed to extend its gains on Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC) holding above $87,000.

Solana (SOL) and XRP also showed some recovery.

Reports that the White House is considering a more moderate stance on tariffs have eased concerns over potential economic disruptions, providing support to the market’s upward momentum.

The global cryptocurrency market cap rose to $2.88 trillion, marking a 0.85% increase over the last day.

However, total market volume over the past 24 hours declined by 12.33% to $76.6 billion.

Bitcoin (BTC) price today

Bitcoin traded at $87,454.16, up around 0.53% in the past 24 hours.

The coin’s 24-hour trading range was between $86,346.08 and $88,542.

Bitcoin’s dominance increased by 3.21% over the day, reaching 63.76%.

Bitcoin network economist Timothy Peterson maintains a bullish outlook on BTC, estimating a 75% probability that the asset will move higher from its current levels.

In a March 25 post on X, Peterson highlighted that Bitcoin is trading near the lower bound of its historical range.

Ethereum (ETH) price today

Ethereum (ETH) price was in the red on Wednesday.

The token was down around 0.5% to trade at $2,054.78.

The intraday low and high were $2,038.64 and $2,084, respectively.

Trading volume for the coin shot up over 22% to $11.5 billion.

Influential cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez pointed out Ethereum’s recent breach of the $2,040 level.

He noted that the next significant resistance lies at $2,300, where the pricing bands suggest a strong resistance.

XRP and SOL price today

XRP price was down 0.78%, trading at $2.44 after hitting an intraday high of $2.48.

Ripple announced on Tuesday that it will no longer proceed with its cross-appeal against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). D

Despite the seemingly positive news, XRP’s price has remained largely unchanged.

Ripple’s chief legal officer, Stuart Alderoty, stated that the SEC will retain $50 million of the original $125 million fine imposed by Judge Analisa Torres, with the remaining amount being returned to Ripple.

Solana (SOL) registered an over 2% surge to $142.77.

Fidelity Investments has filed to launch an exchange-traded fund (ETF) tracking the price of Solana (SOL), according to a Tuesday filing with the SEC.

Cboe Exchange submitted a 19b-4 filing to list the proposed Solana ETF, backed by the $5 trillion asset manager.

Top crypto gainers and losers

Movement (MOVE) led the top gainers with a 29.48% surge in the last 24 hours, reaching $0.5552.

Zcash (ZEC) followed with a 12.69% increase, now trading at $36.15.

SPX6900 (SPX) climbed 7.42% to $0.6395, while Render (RENDER) rose 7.34% to $4.07.

Stacks (STX) rounded out the top gainers, up 7.33% at $0.7341.

Pi (PI) led the top losers with an 11.91% decline in the last 24 hours, now trading at $0.8214.

PancakeSwap (CAKE) followed with a 9.25% drop to $2.47.

Four (FORM) fell 4.73% to $2.37, while Hyperliquid (HYPE) declined 3.09% to $15.97.

Cosmos (ATOM) rounded out the top losers, down 2.70% at $4.83.
