**Halfords Says Trading In Line As CEO Leaves For Tesco**

LONDON (Alliance News) – Halfords Group PLC on Thursday said its trading for the quarter to December 26 was in line with its expectations as its chief executive stepped down to become UK and Ireland chief executive at Tesco PLC.

Halfords said trading in the 13 weeks to December 26 was strong and in line with its expectations. The company said a full trading update for the 15 weeks to January 9 will be published on January 21.
The company also said Matt Davies has stepped down as its Chief Executive Officer to become the Chief Executive of Tesco’s UK and Ireland operations.
Halfords shares were down 6.4% to 433.60 pence on Thursday, the worst performer in the FTSE 250.
