Assura Plc. core business revolves around designing, building, and investing in primary care buildings across the U.K. As of 2018, the company had over 500 primary care medical centers in its portfolio. It changed its name in 2006 after going public in 2003.
Upon changing its name in 2006, Assura bought a new property in Halton as part of its expansion drive. It consequently sold its Medical division to Virgin Group in 2010 and acquired AH medical in 2011 to strengthen its primary healthcare business.
