Capital & Counties Properties PLC is a property investment company that invests in addition to designing and developing real estate properties across the U.K. Established in 2010 as a spinoff of Liberty International; the company seeks to unlock, create and deliver sustainable growth and returns for shareholders in the property markets.
The company boasts of a diverse portfolio of properties. However, the company does not hold a Real Estate Investment Trust status. Its principal properties include Covent Garden and Earls Court, all based in London.
In 2017 Capital & Counties Properties sold its exhibition business Venues comprising of Olympia London for £296 as it sought to focus its resources on core central London estate. In 2018, it also sold its Empire state building for £250 million.
The company has its stock listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a component of the FTSE 250 Index.
