Morgan Stanley existed under a single holding entity J.P. Morgan & Co. In 1935, Henry Sturgis Morgan Harold Stanley, employees of J.P. Morgan, left their employer, partnered with employees from Drexel partners, and formed Morgan Stanley.

The American global investment bank and financial services company are headquartered in New York City, New York, the U.S. This is besides another 1,200 offices across 43 countries.

Morgan Stanley’s business is in three units; wealth management, institutional securities group, and investment management. Wealth management offers investment advisory services. Institutional Securities, which is reportedly the most profitable offers capital raising and financial advisory services. Investment management is more into asset management products and services.

For close to 75years, the company has built its reputation on being able to solve complex problems. As a result, it has become a consistent and reliable industry leader in the financial services industry. Its major clients include corporations, institutions, governments, as well as individuals.
