Is an eToro demo account free?

Yes, you can open and use an eToro demo account for free. Any user with an active account can use virtual funds without restrictions. When using its demo trading account, you do not need to concern yourself with how to deposit funds on eToro, as you can use its features without putting any money into your account.

How much virtual money is credited to your demo account?

When you open an eToro demo account, it is automatically credited with $100,000 in virtual funds. eToro uses US Dollars as its default currency; however, you can change it to another currency that is supported by the platform. You can do this by visiting the settings tab and navigating to the currency section.

Demo account users also have the flexibility to add or remove virtual funds from their accounts. If your account balance reaches zero, you can open a support ticket and request more money to be added to your account, up to a maximum of $100,000. You can also request that funds be removed to a minimum of $2000.

Does the eToro demo account expire?

No, there is no expiry on an eToro demo trading account and you can use it for as long as you have a valid account open with the broker. This is particularly useful if you want to test our new trading strategies or focus on different assets once your experience has grown. You can also explore many of the platform’s features while still trading with real funds by simply switching between the two.

Is the eToro demo account available on mobile?

Yes, the eToro demo trading platform can be accessed on both desktop and mobile via an app. eToro’s app is available to download on iOS and Android devices and has the same features as the desktop version. If you cannot download an app, the demo trading account can be accessed via a web browser on your mobile device.

What assets are available on the eToro demo account?

eToro’s demo account is exactly the same as its real trading account, which means you can trade all of the available assets. This includes over 3000 financial instruments from assets including stocks, forex, commodities, indices, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies.

Trading conditions are the same as in a live environment; you can access many markets via CFDs and leverage. You can also trade real-time stocks from global markets, including companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla.

How to copy traders in the eToro demo account

Copy trading is a feature that allows you to replicate the trades of other users on the eToro network directly into your account. When using a demo account, you can access the platform’s copy trading features in the same way as you would with a real account. Here are the steps to use copy trading in your eToro demo account.

  1. Log into your eToro account.
  2. Click the ‘switch to virtual’ button in the left toolbar.
  3. Navigate to CopyTrader by clicking the ‘discover’ button on the left toolbar.
  4. Select ‘view all’ to see all the accounts available to copy.
  5. Browse through the users until you find one you want to copy (you can filter depending on your requirements at the top of the page).
  6. Once you have selected a user you want to copy, simply configure trade settings and click the ‘copy’ button.

Following the steps above, you can copy any users’ trades on the eToro network directly into your demo trading account. Virtual funds are an excellent risk-free way to test another user’s profitability before switching to live trading.

Is the eToro demo account the right choice?

The eToro demo account is a good option if you’re a new trader. With most brokers, demo accounts are limited to a certain amount of time. For example, some brokers only offer demo accounts for a month before requiring you to deposit funds and switch to live. eToro’s virtual account does not expire, so you can use it to practice for as long as you want.

When trading in simulation mode, you can access all of the features available in the real account. This makes it very easy to test how well the platform works in all market conditions. You can also practice your trading skills in a live environment which is especially important if you want to improve your ability.

Ultimately, your requirements depend on whether you want to use the eToro demo account or go with another broker. The platform has thousands of assets available to trade, and the fact its demo never expires is a plus compared to other similar brokers.
