Bumble was founded in 2014 by Whitney Wolfe Herd, who had previously been at Tinder, and who therefore had first-hand experience of the dating app world. Bumble is the second most popular dating app in North America, behind only Tinder.
The Bumble portfolio also includes Badoo, which is the most popular app in Europe and South America. The dating app market is dominated by Bumble and Match Group, which owns many of its competitors, including Tinder as well as Hinge, OkCupid, and more than 40 other apps.
How does Bumble make money?

A Bumble Boost membership offers these features as part of a monthly subscription, which costs $25 per month.
