Kingfisher plc is a multinational home improvement retail shop based in London, UK but with operations in various cities in the UK, Poland, Romania, France, and other countries in Europe. The company was launched in 1982 to serve as one the subsidiaries of Woolworths. Currently, the firm operates more than 1300 stores across Europe.
It owns several brands, such as B&Q, Screwfix, Screwfix, Castorama, and Brico Dépôt. In addition, the company operated several brands in the past and has already delinked itself, including Woolworths Group, Comet Group Superdrug, and MVC.
The firm is involved mainly in home improvement products, and it manufactures several home appliances, equipment, home furnishings, garden supplies, hardware, and plants, and other tools.
The company is the third-largest home improvement firm after Home Depot and Lowe’s. The company is listed on London Stock Exchange and a component of FTSE 100 share index.
