Founded in 1975 by Harry Solomon and David Thompson, Premier Foods is a food manufacturer. Billed as one of the largest food companies in the U.K the company employs over 4,000 workers operating from 15 manufacturing sites and offices in the country
While operating in the food sector, the company manufactures quality ingredients sourced from British suppliers and farmers. The company’s grocery segment develops a portfolio of brands in four key categories of flavorings & Seasonings as well as Cooking sauces, Quick meals, Snacks, and Soups.
In addition, Premier Foods also manufactures a portfolio of branded food products and non-branded food products used in the manufacture of cakes and desserts. The company owns well-known brands such as Mr. Kipling, Ambrosia Custard, and Lloyd Grossman.
Premier Foods biggest customers are supermarkets around the U.K. the company also supplies convenience stores as well as wholesale and foodservice outlets. The food manufacturer is in the process of expanding internationally in pursuit of new markets. Currently, it maintains operations in Ireland and Australia.
