Gas (GAS)
يُعد GAS أحد الأصلين الأصليين في بلوك تشين Neo، وهي منصة عقود ذكية صُممت في الأصل لدعم الأصول الرقمية والتطبيقات اللامركزية وما تصفه Neo بـ«الاقتصاد الذكي». وبينما يمثّل NEO حقوق الحوكمة داخل الشبكة، يعمل GAS كرمز منفعة يُستخدم لدفع تكاليف العمليات على البلوك تشين.
يشبه دور GAS وقود المعاملات في أنظمة العقود الذكية الأخرى. يحتاج المستخدمون والمطورون إليه لدفع رسوم الشبكة وتنفيذ العقود الذكية والتفاعل مع التطبيقات المنشورة على Neo. ويُعد هذا الفصل بين الحوكمة والاستخدام سمة أساسية في نموذج الرموز الخاص بـ Neo: إذ يُستخدم NEO للتصويت والمشاركة في حوكمة الشبكة، بينما يُستهلك GAS في العمليات الحسابية ونشاط المعاملات.
لا تعتمد Neo على التعدين كثيف الاستهلاك للطاقة القائم على إثبات العمل. ويستند نظام الإجماع فيها إلى التحمل البيزنطي المفوض للأخطاء، حيث تقوم عقد إجماع معتمدة بالتحقق من الكتل. ويتم إنشاء GAS وفقاً للتصميم الاقتصادي للبروتوكول، ويجري توزيعه بالارتباط مع ملكية NEO والمشاركة في الحوكمة، ما يخلق صلة بين الأصلين. ومع ارتفاع استخدام الشبكة، يمكن أن يتأثر الطلب على GAS بحجم المعاملات وتنفيذ العقود الذكية والنشاط الأوسع للمطورين عبر منظومة Neo.
وبالنسبة للمستثمرين والمستخدمين، يرتبط GAS ارتباطاً وثيقاً بصحة Neo نفسها. وتكون فائدته في أقوى حالاتها عندما تجذب السلسلة الأساسية التطبيقات والمستخدمين والنشاط على السلسلة. وبدلاً من أن يكون في الأساس رمز حوكمة، يوجد GAS للحفاظ على تشغيل الشبكة وتسعير الموارد الحاسوبية المطلوبة للخدمات القائمة على Neo.
