Founder Group focuses on two principal markets. The first is large-scale solar, which refers to utility-scale solar photovoltaic power plants with installed generating capacity of at least 1 MWac. These projects are designed to feed electricity into the grid or support broader power-generation objectives and typically require substantial engineering, permitting, and coordination with multiple stakeholders. The second is the commercial and industrial, or C&I, segment, where solar systems are installed on rooftops or other available sites at factories, warehouses, shops, and business premises. These systems are usually intended to help property owners or operators consume more self-generated electricity and manage energy costs.

The company generates its revenue in Malaysia, a market where solar adoption is supported by rising electricity demand, corporate interest in renewable energy, and national efforts to diversify the power mix. Founder Group’s position is distinctive because it operates across both larger utility projects and smaller distributed generation installations, giving it exposure to different parts of the solar value chain. Its performance depends on project flow, execution capability, equipment costs, regulatory conditions, customer financing, and the pace at which Malaysian businesses and power-sector participants continue to adopt photovoltaic technology.
