General Dynamics (GD)

The Aerospace segment is built around Gulfstream, one of the best-known names in large-cabin and long-range business jets. General Dynamics manufactures Gulfstream aircraft and supports customers through a global service network that provides maintenance, completions, and aftermarket support. In defense, the Marine Systems segment designs, builds, and services complex naval platforms, including nuclear-powered submarines, surface combatants, and support ships for the US Navy.

Combat Systems focuses on land warfare products, including armored vehicles, weapons systems, and munitions. Its portfolio includes platforms associated with the M1 Abrams tank and Stryker armored vehicle families, making the segment important to modernization and readiness programs for the US military and allied customers.

The Technologies segment provides mission-critical electronics, communications, command-and-control systems, intelligence and surveillance capabilities, and IT services, largely for government agencies and defense clients. General Dynamics’ distinctive position comes from its mix of manufacturing-heavy defense programs, sensitive naval work, classified and secure communications capabilities, and high-end business aviation. Its results are closely tied to US defense budgets, contract execution, fleet modernization priorities, and demand for Gulfstream aircraft.
