Oasis (ROSE)

The Oasis architecture separates consensus from execution, allowing different runtime environments to operate with more flexibility. This design supports specialized computing environments, including confidential runtimes that can process encrypted or private data. One of the network’s best-known components is Sapphire, a privacy-enabled Ethereum Virtual Machine environment that lets developers build smart contracts with confidentiality features while retaining compatibility with familiar EVM tooling.

Oasis also extends its privacy technology beyond its own ecosystem. The Oasis Privacy Layer is designed to bring confidential functionality to decentralized applications on other EVM networks, allowing developers to add privacy-preserving features without fully migrating chains. Runtime Offchain Logic, known as ROFL, further expands the project’s scope by linking trustworthy off-chain computation with on-chain execution.

These capabilities make Oasis relevant to sectors where data control is central, including decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, gaming, identity, and DAO operations. Rather than positioning privacy as a niche feature, Oasis treats it as core blockchain infrastructure. ROSE underpins that infrastructure by aligning validators, delegators, developers, and users around the security and operation of the network.
