GE Vernova Inc. is a global energy technology company focused on the systems that produce, move and manage electricity. Formed from General Electric’s energy businesses, the company operates across much of the power value chain, serving utilities, grid operators, industrial customers and renewable energy developers. Its portfolio is closely tied to the long-term expansion of electricity demand, grid modernization and the transition toward lower-carbon generation.
The company reports through three main segments: Power, Wind and Electrification. The Power business supplies and services technologies used for dependable electricity generation, including gas turbines, steam equipment, hydro systems and nuclear-related offerings. These assets are important for dispatchable power, where customers need generation that can respond to demand and support grid reliability.
GE Vernova’s Wind segment provides onshore and offshore wind turbines, blades and related services. This business gives the company exposure to renewable power development, while also reflecting the operational and cost challenges that can affect the global wind industry. Its installed base and service relationships are key parts of the segment’s long-term value.
The Electrification segment covers grid solutions, power conversion, software, and solar and storage-related technologies. These products help transmit, distribute, convert and store electricity from generation sites to end users. As power systems become more digital, decentralized and renewable-heavy, this part of the business plays a central role in connecting generation assets with consumption. GE Vernova is therefore positioned as both an equipment supplier and a services partner for the evolving electricity market.
