Ingersoll Rand Inc. is an industrial equipment and services company focused on mission-critical flow creation and industrial technologies. The modern company was formed through the combination of Gardner Denver with the industrial segment of Ingersoll Rand, bringing together a broad portfolio of compressors, pumps, blowers, vacuum systems, and related service capabilities. Its products are used in factories, laboratories, energy infrastructure, medical environments, and other settings where reliability and efficiency are important.
The company operates through two main business areas: Industrial Technologies and Services, and Precision and Science Technologies. Industrial Technologies and Services includes a wide range of air compression, gas compression, blower, and vacuum equipment, along with aftermarket parts, maintenance, and system support. These products are used across manufacturing, transportation, food and beverage, chemicals, and general industrial markets. Aftermarket service is an important part of the model because installed equipment often requires ongoing maintenance, replacement parts, and efficiency upgrades.
Precision and Science Technologies serves more specialised applications. This part of the portfolio includes fluid management, dosing, transfer, and other precision-engineered products used in life sciences, medical, laboratory, and selected industrial markets. The segment gives Ingersoll Rand exposure to higher-specification applications where performance, cleanliness, accuracy, or regulatory requirements can be central to customer purchasing decisions.
Ingersoll Rand’s competitive position is built on engineering breadth, recognised product brands, and a large installed base of equipment. Demand is influenced by industrial production, capital spending, energy efficiency investments, and customers’ need to keep essential processes running. The company reported roughly $7.7 billion in revenue for 2025.
