Snowflake Inc. is a cloud data platform company that helps organizations store, manage, share, and analyze large volumes of data across public cloud environments. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Montana with major operations in California, the company is best known for its Data Cloud, a managed platform designed to bring together data warehousing, data lakes, data engineering, data sharing, and analytics in one architecture.
Snowflake’s platform separates compute from storage, allowing customers to scale processing power independently from the amount of data they hold.
